Journalist Kamel Karaki, who worked as a cameraman for Al Manar TV was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting the town of Qantara in South Lebanon on 24 September. He had worked for the channel for twenty-five years. Karki is the fifth journalist to be killed by Israel in Lebanon since the war in Gaza, Palestine, started on 7 October 2023.
