Freelance journalist Ibrahim Abdallah was killed at his home in El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state, on June 28 or 29, 2024, after the paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces (RSF) shelled his house and other buildings in the state capital, according to multiple news reports and a local journalist following the case, who spoke to CPJ on the condition of anonymity, citing fear of reprisal.
