Details
Guled worked for state-owned Radio Mogadishu, and extensively wrote about Al-Shabaab, the extreme Islamist group which frequently attack government officials and civilains. Al-Shabaab took responsibility for the explosion, which happened as Guled was leaving a busy restaurant at midday. Guled was a target because of his popular broadcasts which often interviewed Al-Shabaab members.
