Journalist shot dead inside his house in Bihar

"A reporter of Dainik Jagran named Mithilesh Pandey has been shot dead by unidentified person. We have started the investigation. We will try to arrest the culprits as soon as possible," SSP Gaya, Manu Maharaj told the reporters.

Pandey's relatives claimed that the 40-year-old journalist had been receiving threats and that he had approached the police on several occasions regarding the issue.
"Around 2-3 people with their faces covered entered the house and shot Mithilesh while he was sleeping. I was not at home. I was sitting outside but when I heard the sound of the bullet, I rushed to the house to see him lying in a pool of blood. We took him to a hospital nearby but he was dead by then," said victim's relative Umesh Kumar Pandey.
