Journalist dies of gunshot wounds after attack in Ukrainian capital

According to Levyy Bereg, an opposition-leaning website, he and IT specialist Oleksiy Lymarenko were attacked when they were travelling in a taxi. Unknown individuals in helmets, camouflage gear, and black masks attacked them at a intersection with bats and weapons. They threw petrol bombs into the vehicle. The taxi-driver and the IT-specialist were seriously beaten. The journalist was shot in the chest. The information about the death of Vyacheslav Veremyy was confirmed for 5 Kanal by UDAR MP Oksana Prodan. She says dozens of wounded people are being brought to the city emergency hospital. Police have visited the hospital as well, but they were refused access to the wounded. Since the start of disturbances yesterday, at least 20 people have been killed. Thousands have been wounded.
