Journalist killed in eastern Congo ambush
Details
Jacques Kikuni, head of the Muungano radio station, said 30-year-old Germain Kennedy Muliwavyo died after being shot in the head and stomach during Saturday’s ambush 60 kilometers outside of Beni. Two other journalists were injured but are expected to survive. Hospital officials confirmed the death and injuries.
