Aadel Mohsen Husain, a reporter for a number of news media in Iraq, was shot to death in the northern city of Mosul.
There was no immediate information on who carried out the attack.
The killing of Hussein, 43, was confirmed by the Iraqi Journalists Rights Defense Association.
