Road accident
The television cameraman had just finished covering a strip mall fire a little after 2:30 in the morning and was returning to his vehicle when he was hit by a car.
The driver stopped, summoned help and the photographer was taken to a hospital where he died a short time later. He had long worked the overnight shift to give him more daytime hours with his wife and 14-year-old daughter.
