Martin Rojas, 37, was on his way home from work when gunmen shot him in the back in Roxas City on Panay island, a police officer said.
"He died while being treated at a hospital," said Jefferson Soriano, the head of a police task force investigating media killings. Rojas was described by his colleagues at Radio Mindanao Network as a hard-hitting commentator, criticising local politicians, soldiers and police officers for alleged wrongdoings.
