Road accident
Port Wentworth Police say Steven Shoob was checking out an accident that took place on I-95 southbound early this morning.
He had parked on the northbound side and crossed over to get more information about the accident. After police told him it wasn't a big deal to cover, he went to cross I-95 to go back to his car. He had just about cleared the southbound lanes when an SUV traveling in the passing lane hit him.
Shoob was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the SUV was not charged. Everything on his car was on and working. Shoob worked at WSAV in the mid-1980s before going to WTOC.
