The owner of the independent Ingushetiya.ru website, Magomed Yevloyev, has been killed in Ingushetia.
Earlier today, he was arrested by employees of law enforcement bodies. Ekho Moskvy radio was told this by the website's editorial staff. Yevloyev had travelled [from Moscow to Ingushetia] in the same plane together with Ingush President Murat Zyazikov.
After Zyazikov was met by a motorcade, [Ingush] Interior Minister's convoy rolled to the plane and took away Yevloyev.
According to [the head of the organizational committee of the national rally of Ingushetia, Magomed] Khazbiyev, firearms were used during the detention [and] warning shots were fired at the feet.
After the detention, the convoy split into six parts. Therefore, it is impossible to determine where exactly the website's owner was taken. No other circumstances are known at the moment.
Earlier, Moscow City Court confirmed a district court's ruling on closing the Ingushetiya.ru website because it had published materials of extremist nature. Fearing persecution, Ingushetiya.ru website's editor-in-chief Roza Malsagova had to seek political asylum in the West.
