Crossfire
Abdirisak Warsameh Mohamed of Radio Shabelle was shot dead in a crossfire as government forces tried to dislodge the Islamists in the neighborhoods of Bakara Market.
He was killed as he crossed the road at Wardhigley police station, according to Director of Radio Shabelle Mukhtar Mohamed Hirabe. Abdirisak was on his way to Radio Shabelle when bullets hit him in the chest. He died instantly.
