The prominent Iraqi television presenter Riyadh al-Sarray has been shot dead in Baghdad.
Unknown gunmen in a speedy car intercepted the car of al-Sarray in Harithiya area of Baghdad and killed him by silenced pistols. Mr al-Sarray, who presented religious and political programmes on the state-run television al-Iraqiya TV, was killed as he was heading for work.
He was known for his attempts to narrow sectarian differences in Iraq.The 35-year-old lawyer joined the state broadcaster in 2005.
