Explosion
Said Ibragimov, director of the local TBS television channel, was killed on his way to restore a TV transmitter, damaged by militants the day before.
Near the village of Ayazi his Niva, carrying a team of repairmen, and the accompanying police jeep were ambushed by gunmen who set off a bomb in front of the vehicles and then opened fire. They killed five, among them Ibragimov, and wounded four.
