A journalist was found murdered in mysterious circumstances in Zafrabad area of northeast Delhi on Friday 05 August.
Police said the deceased was identified as Akram Latif, 32, who was the programming head of ETV Urdu television channel and was based at Amroha in Uttar Pradesh.
Sources in the police said Latif was shot at by four unidentified men around 11am. He died at a hospital in north-east Delhi later in the evening. Police said the deceased had been transferred to Amroha from Hyderabad about a month back. After joining office in Amroha, he started doing stories against local builders and criminals. He even received threat calls for this.
