"Unidentified" gunmen shoot dead Somali radio director in capital

Unidentified gunmen tonight killed the director of Radio Somaliweyn in Mogadishu.
The gunmen armed with pistols shot dead Abukar Mahamud Kadaf in front of his house at the Hawo Tako neighbourhood in Mogadishu's Wadajir District. Reports say the killers, numbering two, escaped shortly after the murder. An eyewitness told Shabeelle that government security forces arrived at the scene and conducted operations but made no arrests.
Abukar Mahamud Kadaf was the director of Radio Somaliweyn, which collapsed in May 2010 after the Al-Shabab militant group looted the station's broadcasting equipment during fighting with government forces in the area. Source: Shabeelle Media Network website
