Three Nigerian journalists killed in road crash
Road accident
Three journalists with a local campaign convoy were killed in a motor accident in southeast Nigeria's Edo state, an official statement said on Sunday.
The three lost their lives on Saturday when a tipper lorry rammed into the convoy, which was campaigning for state governor Adams Oshiomhole. Several others including security officers were injured, the statement said. The lorry lost control, veered off its track and rushed straight into the convoy, it added.
Two reporters, Olatunji Jacob and George Okosun from Independent Television (ITV), and Fidelis Okhani the from African Independent Television (AIT), were reported killed. Source: XinhuangNet/Vanguard
