Journalist and driver killed in road accident
Road accident
The Dominican media community is mourning one of its members following the tragic death of Rosario Olivo and driver Julio Holguín from the Government Information Center (CIG), in a road accident as they were traveling to Santiago to cover the program of inaugurations by president Leonel Fernández.
The accident occurred yesterday near Arroyo Huerta on the Duarte highway when one of the vehicle tires exploded and the driver lost control. Cameraman Juan Santamaría (La Greña) and photographer Ramón Cuevas were injured in the accident. President Fernández conveyed his condolences to the relatives.
