Peruvian photojournalist slain outside home
Shooting
A photographer for Peru’s leading daily El Comercio has been shot to death outside his home.
Police say 39-year-old Luis Choy died from shots to the thorax and cranium in the Saturday afternoon attack a few blocks from a police station. Police criminal investigations director Gen. Cesar Cortijo told a news conference that Choy was leaving his home in an SUV when an unidentified man shot at him twice and fled in a car that had been waiting.
Police say they don’t have a motive in the slaying.
