An employee of a local radio station in Afghanistan who went missing 20 days ago has been found dead.

The body of Mohammad Mohsin Hashemi was found near his house in Nejrab District of Kapisa Province [eastern Afghanistan] on Monday evening. The head of Nejrab District, Abdol Wadud Haidari, told Afghan Islamic Press [AIP] said that Mohsin Hashemi's body had been taken for an autopsy, and that three people suspected of killing him have been detained while an investigation is under way.  The head of Sada-e Nejrab, Abdol Motaleb, said that security officials should carry out a serious investigation and punish the perpetrators. Violence against journalists is a problem in Afghanistan, despite pledges by Afghan officials to provide protection for them.  Source: Afghan Islamic Press via BBC Monitoring
