His wounds are not believed to be life-threatening. INSI understands that both journalists were on assignment at the time. At least eight people were killed and twenty injured in the blast according to the National Union of Somali Journalists, who condemned the attack. We condemn this murderous attack that claimed the life of civilian people. It is very sad that journalists are among the victims of this cowardly attack which was execeuted to cause maximum harm to the civilian people, said Omar Faruk Osman, NUSOJ Secretary General. Mohamed Ali Nuhurkey, 29, is the second journalist killed in this year in Somalia following the murder of Abdihared Osman Adan on 18 January 2013 in Mogadishu.
